ROFLMAO!

I developed my taste for beer in Canada in '73 or so. Came back to the US in '75, and one of the 1st things I did was visit my old high-school buddys @ college. They were having a party, and I'd never seen a twist-top bottle, or drank US beer. Of course everyone got a big laugh when I asked for a church-key. They changed their tune in pretty short order: I drank that 1st Olympia in about 10 sec flat. A little while later I had the last laugh, watching everyone else pass out, barf, or both. I figure there must've been botulism or something on the bottles: the ALCOHOL (what there was of it) could't have had ANYTHING to do with their sorry state.

A few weeks later I wound up as the "last man standing" at my uncles 25th biorthday party (I was 19 @ the time). Drank 24 Micheloeb's that night... my GRANDMOTHER kept track! It got to where people would buy me beer just to watch.

Ah, youth!

So, If I give out bad advice, now you all know why...

BTW, US microbrews have been closing the "ethanol gap' pretty well.

And congrats on graduating, ST!

Speaking of parties, when I clicked on the "Green" banner ad to pay my cover, I noticed their "redirect" is http://www.environmentaldefense.org/naked

I want to go to THEIR party!

I went to Germany over a year ago now for 4 months. When I had my first bottled beer I didn't have a church key and screw off tops are far from common over there. So, as a present, the guy with whom I was drinking gave me a church key. It was so I didn't have any more drinking problems in the future.

BTW, others are more than welcome to take one off the wall. Just remember to count it down. Heck, a round for the whole thread.

Gotta watch that keyboard, it moves when you least expect it too.

pbeyer you got to watch your keyboard too, its that Canadian beer, gets you every time.

You should be taking number 995 down and leaving 994 still up. Or, are you hoping we didn't notice you sneak the extra.
