| I've often seen kids eat UNCOOKED bricks of Ramen and then dump the flavored salt packets into their mouth. If you've ever done that, tell me what is the reason.

| (51) it is actually quite tastey, if I remember correctly. Taste nice and crunchy and pretty much like chips, try it one day yourself if your really curious. What I used to do I think was take the ramen uncooked noodles, put em in a plastic bag, crunch em up with my hands outside of the bag, add the flavoring and eat em! |

| Well I haven't had more than a cup of coffee and a few chips ahoy today....ramen will probably end up being my meal tonight. Lets see....looks like I'm down to creamy chicken--my favorite and lime chili shrimp which is new. Any votes one way or the other?

lol. And yes I eat them raw. I really dont like them cooked. I break the brick into sections and tear open the packet. Then I proceed to sprinkle seasoning on each portion as I eat it. BTW- Favorite flavor= Oriental.

| ok I've got some advice for you and this comes from being a witness. The stuff in Ramen noodles is ok once in a while but if you keep eating it day in and day out you are going to have gastric problems. I know of several people back home that used to resort to Ramen as a cheap means of food due to economical reasons BUt they all ended up getting stomach problems and ulcers on their tongues from the chemicals in the flavour packets. Having said that I've found one delicious way to add body/flavour and life to my Ramen. I fry some chopped up Hot Dogs with onions first, then I throw that in with the noodles as it cooks and add some ketchup and some Tabasco to it. You heard it ketchup !!! mmmmmmm !!! + BEER . When I first came to the US I used to make that at the dorms and it was a hit !

| I eat Ramen noodles all the time, mostly because they are easy to prepare. I boil the noodles and drain off the water and mix them with vegetables and salsa or tomato sauce, maybe a can of soup in the winter. I never use the "flavor" packet, looks like chemicals to me. |

| That stuff in their packet I never use. I have my own cilantro, oregano etc in my back yard. The good thing about Ramen is that you can "mix" it up with almost anything.

| I was not able to enjoy my mexican ramen last night. the leftovre pizza was too tempting, maybe tonight. My old girlfriend's mom used to crunch up dry ramen noodles and put them in a salad. It prolly would've been pretty tasty if I didn't think she was trying to poisen me......another story for another day. |

Real ramen is 50 times better than the instant stuff, but very hard to make right, especially the soup. Anyone who's seen the movie Tampopo knows what I'm talking about. I would agree with alien resident that eating instant ramen on a regular basis is probably not good for your health. | |
