Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

The good news is that with the surgery my swallowing problem has gone away and I think that if I just keep at it - as I did all last week - I'll get back to normal within a few days.

Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

One of the tips I picked up googling this problem was to eat several small meals throughout the day, including milk shakes.
Mrs. TQ just made a homemade vanilla yogurt shake for me: delicious!

Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

Got a good night's sleep last night. Only woke up once 'cause I had to go to the loo (that's what hydration will do for you) so I think I'm on my way to getting stable again.
Right now I'm drinking a glass of Instant Breakfast with milk and I plan on having oatmeal and blueberries later.

Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

I just found out that Tony Snow - a man I admired greatly - has passed away from cancer.
He was diagnosed a year before I was and became one of my primary inspirations all during my first fight back in 2006.
At the moment I heard of his death he once again acted as an inspiration: I reached over to my bowl of oatmeal and blueberries and took a large bite.
It may sound odd, but if I am to beat this thing back again stabilizing my appetite is number one on the hit play list.
Number two is consistently getting back to the gym, which will easily follow number one.

I can't express how hard it was hearing of Tony's death, but I will say this: I will continue to find his courage, faith and attitude to be a primary source of motivation.

God Bless him.

Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

For those of us that have the seal of the Holy Spirit. There is a grace given for and at the time of passing. I've had a wee insight into this and the experience was a joy. Hard to put into words and joy pretty much sums it up.
I'm not preaching, just passing on an insight (personal). Keep positive and know that there are those that care and offer up prayers for you ***TQ**

I feel for what you're going through. Hang tough, bud! It was nice to see that you had looked in here earlier today, and posted in another thread on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Best,
