Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

A simple infection can often zap one's strength.
Sounds great that they ID'd the infection.

Hope you get a boost in energy. In my prayers.

Wow, that's great news! It should be allot easier on the both of you this way. Sorry I haven't popped in lately - my abxzone mail isn't being delivered - so I thought the site was down again.

Well, I'll just double my prayers! I'm glad your spirits still seem good - that's a hell of a ride your going through. Keep on trucking bud!

Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

Still fighting off this bronchial infection. Can't continue with chemo 'till I get over it.
I'm going to see my primary care physician on Monday (he was out of town all last week) to get his input on dealing with it.
That's pretty much it for now...

Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

Much better this morning...the cycle of fever spikes broke yesterday and - in an oddly sudden way - in the last couple of hours I am coughing less.

Unless something unforeseen pops up I'd say chemo is on for Tuesday.

Very much so. I just finished two eggs sunny side up and a couple of sausage patties. I had meatloaf and green beans last night and all through the last few days I've been having fresh fruit and other good snacking stuff.

Thumbs up Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

Good news, dang infections are too common from hospitals. I'm worried every time my mom has to have blood drawn! She has to go in for blood tests for her diabetes every couple months. I dunno what's going on, but hospitals have some NASTY bugs that reside in there. Go in for a blood test, and come home with flesh eating bacteria!!! I had a friend that had a hernia operation, and he got a really bad infection. They had to leave the hole open and pack in bleach soaked gauze every few hours to kill it! Talk about PAINFUL, he'd pass out EVERY TIME!!! He now has a WICKED SCAR where his belly button used to be.

Anyways, glad to hear you're doing better, and hope the nasty bug is on it's way out. You had to mention food, now I'm hungry!
