Oh, well...I'll find out on Monday and we'll go from there. I'm still not recovering much strength nor am I sleeping well. Appetite's still good. So much so that when I couldn't sleep last night I got up and snacked on mashed potatoes and gravy, Melba toast and cheese. I read a while and then was able to sleep. Ringo is running wild and driving his sisters crazy.

| Ugh, that doesn't sound good. I wish you luck monday, hope it's nothing too serious, allthough new unknown masses are NEVER a good thing!!! I don't know what to say other than my thoughts are with you. I don't think I could sleep either with the things that are going on right now in your life in mine!!! Your new pup looks like a good one! Looks like he's going to fit in well in your family. The little ones are always a little obnoxious when they first come into the house. They tend to bug the older dogs a bit. ![]() |

| Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back... Halo's been a bit snippy with Ringo, but then she's a princess. She'll play with him if she's in the mood. Belle, on the other hand, is the soul of patience and will put up with Ringo's puppy needle teeth and play pretty hard with him. When she gets fed up she jumps on a sofa where Ringo - at this stage - can't follow. That, of course, won't last...

| That's a good pic, cute little booger! They always are when they're pups. My mom's rat dogs couldn't jump on the couch directly when they were little either. Now they just hop right up, and they're less than a foot tall! It's AMAZING how athletic the little things are, they can take a flying leap from the sidewalk, and completely skip the step to the front porch. Another quick hop, and they're in the door full speed ahead!! The younger one is coordinated enough to catch things out of the air, plus he never got fat, so he can jump higher and run faster. The older one my mom fattened up feeding him too much people food. The vet gave her the lecture about killing him with kindness, and she's cut WAAAAYYYY BACK on the people food for the rat dogs. The older one is starting to slim down some now that he's got an athletic playmate. I had them chasing mini frisbees all over the yard earlier. The little one actually caught it a few times! |

| Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back... I reversed my sleeping trend last night. I was out by 11 with no coughing to keep me up all night, but the crud still pooled up in my chest and got me out of bed at 4:30. Still, it's an improvement. We actually tore Daywalker Studio totally down today for a complete cleaning and to install a set of active Mackie MR8 studio monitors. My passive Tannoy's got blown a few weeks ago when a low end transient from an audio effect passed through the system at a gain rate that was a bit high. My QSC power amp was just far too powerful for the situation in which I was using it and the tweeters got toasted. Since this was the second time that's happened I sold the QSC to a friend to run his church's P.A. system and decided to go the safe route and get speakers with built in power. After that was done I collapsed, ate lunch and recuperated.

Keep in mind, as you may be aware, that tweeters can commonly also be blown by amplifiers that are too low powered to handle a high amplitude bass signal cleanly. Putting a large low frequency transient into an amplifier that does not have enough power to handle it results in a clipped waveform. The sharp "corners" of the clipped waveform, where it abruptly changes from a sine wave to flat, contain high frequency spectral components that can be much larger than the original waveform had. The speaker's crossover will then pass those components to the tweeters, because of their higher frequency. Keep up the good fight! My best as always, -- Al
