A full recovery is expected, but obviously I am concerned that I will have my former level of control. I'll just have to put my trust in God and the skill of my doctors.

| Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back... Heh...hope so. I've been at it for over twenty five years. I started doing radio back in '71 but it wasn't until 1982 that I moved to the Dark Side and started doing commercials.

| Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back... Yep. Dr. Scholl has admonished me to speak only when absolutely necessary for ten days after the surgery. Only after that amount of time has passed can I try to speak on a professional level.

| Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back... I read your post some times not knowing quite what to say. I do admire your courage and trust in God you speak of. We really haven't gotten to know each other very well over the years, I guess different interest. I can id with health problems my big one is heart disease, by pass sursurgery, and Stents. I do pray for you daily and think of your family. I'm an ole man now 64 and lived my life pretty much. But you still have a family to raise, I've been there raising a family. I sure wouldn't want to see your children without a dad. Your post read out like a person doing the right things TQ. Just keep the good Lord in forefront of life. I will continue to read your post expecting a postive outcome from all of this. And always my prayers for you and your family. If I can be of help in any way just MP me...... |

| Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back... Thanks, Skully. My dad has had his own bout with heart problems, so I can certainly empathize with you. He comes to Austin every week on business so I get a chance to see him regularly. Last night we spent a couple of hours on the back patio - he enjoying a glass of Coppola Claret (envy) and me with a glass of whole milk - and we had a great time talking politics, religion and evolution. He's a wonderful guy and I am lucky to see him as often as I do. Hopefully, the contract negotiations he's involved with here will go on for a long time and I'll get to see him every week.

| Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back... I went to the gym this morning at was pleasantly surprised that I was able to work out my full time, albeit at lower stages of resistance. I actually will wick the resistance up a notch tomorrow and see what happens. No dizziness, no weakness, good strength and endurance. I'm happy. On another note my new HP laptop arrived while I was at the gym. Crikey, but this thing is a monster! I had no idea it was going to be 21" wide and 18" deep. The screen even unfolds on a mount which allows for adjustment! The keyboard is full sized and it has a serpentine design scheme on the top of the unit. This thing is extremely nice and I'm damn sure impressed with it.

| Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back... Your relationship with your dad sounds a lot like mine with my oldest son. We talk about the same things. He's a captain for and an airline up in Ohio. I can't drink alcohol. But we still have a couple beers together, me the non-alcoholic beer. Its great you have the support of a good dad. Sounds like you have a good marriage, wonderful children, a great support system, and us here at ABX. If I may be so bold as to call you friend! Even though we have belonged to the same web site. We really did not know each other. So I'd like to think of you as a new found friend. TQ the stardust I throw around a lot, is a code word for love. Men have a hard time saying I love or care about you. So enters stardust their own personal stardust of ***love*** Its easier to just send someone some stardust, then to say I love and care about you. It also helps to lift ones spirits, I know cause I've been on the receiving end of ABX friends stardust. I'm most likely telling you something you do not already know. It at least for me has gotten easier to use the love word as I've aged. Anywho I just wanted to prepare you for a huge load of stardust coming your way. This is for you and all of your family mixed with our prayers here at ABX.... ********************************************************* ********************************************************* ********************************************************* Also remember we all here at ABX, stand in the winners corner with ya TQ |

| Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back... Went to the gym yesterday and had a close-to-normal workout. I'll be doing the same thing this morning. Looks like my voice box surgery won't happen until around the 9th of next month, which means I'll be out of any speaking engagements for all of July. Oh, well...I'm sure Mrs. TQ will appreciate the silence. I finally got that new HP laptop configured. Lord, what a nice machine that is. Only thing is it's really difficult finding a roller case that will fit this monster with its 20" screen. We're going to go over to the Samsonite store in the mall this weekend and see what we can find. I was pulling my hair out trying to find a way to transfer my Firefox bookmarks over to the HP. For some reason I couldn't simply copy the bookmark backup over to it. I mean I could, but it wasn't recognized. After searching for a way to accomplish this I ran across a plugin called "Foxmarks" that was stupid simple and very effective. I now have all three of my machines with identical bookmarks that I can synchronize at any time. Nice little plugin and another reason why Firefox rocks.

Sorry about the delay, one more little thing to test your patience - sounds like you are doing well, so keep on hanging on! Does that Foxmarks plugin work for FF3? Sounds cool. I like FF3, but I miss all my toys | |
