Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

Yep, the plugin works perfectly with FF3. That's what I'm using on all my machines.

Just got back from the gym where I pushed the bike at level eleven for twenty minutes. Then did twenty minutes of upper body and fifteen on the treadmill.
A pretty normal workout.
As I get deeper into chemo I may have to back off the bike resistance a bit, but I'm hopeful I won't have to drop into the single digits.
That's a mental barrier for me...anything below level ten.
I've already backed off the weight work amount, due to the PICC line in my left arm. I do the same amount of sets, just at a lower weight. This is done so that I disturb the line as little as possible.

Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

Glad to hear all of that, TQ.

Just as a point of information, since you have the nice add-on, I think what would have worked to transfer your bookmarks without it would have been:

In the menu at the top of the FF3 window, Bookmarks/Organize Bookmarks/Import and Backup/Export HTML.

Then copy the saved html file to the other computer, and do the same thing except change "export" to "import."

Best,
-- Al

Frack...I missed that option. I'll keep it in mind for the future, though. Thanks.

Thumbs up Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

Glad you're feeling better. Chemo is a shock to the system. A LOT of people don't do so well with chemo, some are lucky to be able to do ANYTHING! It helps to be reasonably healthy. Hopefully your voice gets back to 100% after the surgery. Life gets kinda boring without the normal routine, hope the new laptop can fill that void. New toys can be a distraction to keep you from dwelling on things you have no control over. Don't over do it at the gym just becaus you don't want to admit the chemo is taking your energy, it can actually do more harm than good. You don't want to over do it and figure out the chemo is going to kick your butt because you were too enthusiastic at the gym. There's a big difference between working out to keep your self in shape, and proving the chemo isn't getting you down. Just be careful, it helps to maintain mental strength too, but sometimes a strong head is a bad thing. So, stay positive, and we're all here for you!

Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

In 2006 I had twelve days I could work out between chemo treatments. Treatment sessions were every two weeks and they lasted fifty-seven hours over a three day period. I'd give myself a day to rest after finishing up, then hit the gym. As I deeper into the clinical trial that stretched out to two days after hour fifty-seven, as my system had been hammered at that point for several months.
Working out and feeling committed to it kept me focused on getting better and surviving the treatment as much as the cancer. I was also able to roar back to full strength within weeks after I completed the trial in November of '06 and enjoy a backpacking trip to New Mexico with no ill effects that next spring.

Lance Armstrong kept riding during his therapy, albeit on a stationary bike. I spend the majority of my workouts on a similar machine with some relatively light weight work in the mix and a lot of treadmill/stair climber time.

I ate an entire pizza last night. It was a "personal size" pizza, but I scarfed the whole thing. I pretty much have to go to the gym after that, because pizza is great workout food.

Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

I'm actually going to take the day off from the gym tomorrow. Rest up, then go Sunday morning and take the girls to flyball practice in the afternoon.

We're going to see "Wanted" tomorrow afternoon. Been looking forward to this one!

Chemo - Round 2 - is Wednesday, July 1st in Houston.

Re: Well, dang...the cancer's back...

Unfortunately there is no single treatment for cancer, as there are so many different types of it.
I'm off to Houston tomorrow or chemo on Wednesday. Got my laptop this time, though, so I can stay connected.

Enjoy the trip, it's a bit of a ride I know, but at least there are things to look at on the way.

I taking the F-150 'cause it's got XM in it. That goes long way towards making the trip go pleasantly.
