| If you never saw the series then you missed half the jokes in the movie. That is a common problem I see when I ask people why they didn't like it. |

| Two movies recently... Paths of Glory, a Kubrick movie! #39 in the IMDB top 250! And my PVR missed the last 40 minutes!!!! and: Amelie, #24 in the IMDB top 250. This one was just OK, not the stunning masterpiece I was led to believe it was. It was interesting and unique, but too artsy for me. However, there were really nice scenes of Paris, which I visited 5 years ago and still think about. |

What I like about it is that it's not a typical "Yeah! The Allies are the good guys!" kind of story. There are some not-so-good good guys. There are blood, guts and explosions, but also the consequences of blood, guts and explosions. It clearly shows that the war was NOT a good thing, it was just something you had to do. And even the brave guys were scared at times. Excellent.

| Tomb Raider Cradle of Life. Tres average... but Angelina looked good as ever. When it comes to her, I'd like to be a "Womb Raider"

| I saw Walking Tall with the Rock and it felt like I was hit in the head with rock. I knew it wasn't going to be as good as the original but the acting was weak from all the actors in my opinion. Hope to pull a double feature this Friday with the Punisher and Kill Bill.

I personally cant take her and I also think she is an awful actor. If I want to see pretty women in action then I watch that special kind of movies, you know what I mean. haha

| Kill Bill Vol. 1 Saw Kill Bill Vol. 1 last night... I am not a Quentin fan... I haven't seen Reservoir Dogs, and I can barely remember any of Pulp Fiction and whether I liked it, but I am a fairly big Asian Martial Arts/Action fan... With that said, I was very unimpressed with this movie. There is a plethora of references in this movie to all the HK Action movies that it is inspired by... but most of the movies it pulls from sucked. I would have liked to have seen more of a movie then what seemed like a slideshow of Quentin's most nostalgic scenes from bad Asian Cinema. BJB |
