All i have to say about the Punisher is...

UGGGHHHHHH!

It COULD and SHOULD have been so much better....but I was sorely disappointed. I wasnt expecting all that much either, just a lot of action, and I guess that's where it fell short (aside from the so-so acting and mediocre plot development).

The movie should have been as follows:
First 5 minutes, set up story. Final 115 minutes, non-stop action.

O well

I really like this thread!

Don't have to even see the movies that people didn't like!

Rundown! Lots of action! Not a bad movie if you like lots of fight scenes.

Very well said, I just saw it today and thought it could have been so much better, especially with the minor characters of both main characters. I was also disappointed in two scenes of special effects...I don't think these are spoilers but don't read if you don't even want a hint of what happens in the movie......the first explosion at the house where you could really tell that the man was a dummy( look at his head) and the blood in the water being really centralized around the character and nowhere else in the ocean.

Second Hand Lions

It was good....could have been a bit better, but still it was better than average. I'll give it 3 out of 3 stars.

i saw that movie on friday..it had the dumbest ending ever, the action was pretty good and quite gruesome, but the last 10 minutes were pretty stupid.

if they make a sequel, i won't be seeing it

Man of Fire (?) with Denzel

I expected this not to be good but I was surprised. Some of the twists are predictable but suspense was still there. Long movie, I think 2 hrs 20 minutes but I like long movies. I thought the ending would actually be different. I would definitely recommend it.

Am I the only one who is apprehensive about movie theaters now? Here in Houston there was an outbreak of lice at one of the Cinemark theaters. A few weeks or a month later ANOTHER outbreak from the same theater.

All the theaters here stink, are manned by young gangsta wannabe s**theads, are dirty, cost $8 and are either freezing cold or too hot. I have a Dolby Digital / DTS surround sound system here at the apt and just wait for the DVDs. Kill Bill was awesome and the Matrix is great without a bunch of screaming 15 year olds running around on their cell phones.

Plus I can watch all the movies in my underwear. I guess I could do that at the theater too. Those little doufases that work there prolly won't care.

Still, it's hard to resist that incredible DTS theatre surround at the megaplex.

end rant
