I just watched The Butterfly Effect on DVD. What an awesome story. The movie was pretty good.....I think the story was one of the best original stories I've seen in years, but it would have been a little bit better with a more mature acting cast. The actors weren't bad....just could have been a little better. Edit: BTW...I watched the "Director's Cut"...so don't know what was added, but it did have an alternate ending. Both endings were interesting, but I think I liked the alternate ending better than the standard ending. It wrapped things up better....there was another "tie in" there that was lost with the ending from the theatrical release.

Here's the movie I would like to see again but I suspect my wife will never allow it: http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&id...f=info&intl=us I loved the suspense with science involved. I especially like a movie that gets the viewer a little paranoia after watching it.

Why do you need to get permission from your wife to watch a movie?

I watched Heavy Metal 2000 on DVD. I was told it was "interesting"...especially if I liked the original Heavy Metal (which I watched last weekend). Well.....I wasn't too impressed. The first was at least original....I thought this one pretty much sucked. Not only was it not original but didn't have any of the "artistic quality" in the story the original one did. It was just one boring story and didn't even tie in very well (although you could see they "meant" to). I'd give it 1 star. Mabye 1 1/2.
