Mystic River....finally got around to it and .wow! ... a terrific Eastwood directed movie that gives me the same feeling as the film noir genre of the 50s.....veteran actors Bacon, Robbins, and Penn at peak performance level....I'll bet that Clint just has to pick up the phone for casting, he must get fewer refusals than the Godfather....

Ringu (Japanese original of "The Ring")

Not nearly what I had expected. I hear this is one of those rare occasions where the US remake is actually better !?

Kandahar - Movie about an Afghan woman who had escaped years ago and moved to Canada and was going back to try to help her sister get out (and keep her from commiting suicide).

One of those movies that really makes you aprpeciate what you have. It was meant to look like a documentary and did a decent job at it.

And Pancho Villa starring as Himself - A movie about the making of a movie about Pancho Villa during the Mexian revolution. Antonio Banderas played Pancho Villa. It was quite interesting....and he played quite and interesting character. Worth a look if you are in the mood.

I saw Cabin Fever last night on Cinemax...I liked it a lot, it finally put the "horror" back in horror movie...this was the first horror movie I've seen in many years that's actually scary and suspenseful...The movie had its weaknesses but overall it was a very effective horror movie, which is more then I can say for most so called horror movies nowadays

Cold Mountain. I enjoyed it, but found it dragged on a bit in places.

The Recruit I thought it was pretty good. Another movie that I have liked with Bridget Moynahan so far. I think she is a good actress and pretty damn sexy to boot.
