It dragged in more than a few places. I was expecting a lot more from this Civil War epic. Gone With The Wind is still safe with competition like this.

Saw El Mariachi and Desparado.

I liked the original version better (El Mariachi). Hollywood did not raise the quality from the original. I like Banderas but not the way he did Desparado.

Just saw Aladdin (1986) with Bud Spencer http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090601/

Reminds me of my childhood My kids found it extremely boring and lame. I'd take Bud Spencer over Jim Carrey (their fave comedy actor) any day

This coment posted at IMDB gives a good idea about what the movie is:

"this whole movie is like an LSD trip where bizarre stuff just happens to this really geeky kid, and he has this fat genie to help him out. All this, of course, amid truly horrible acting, special effects and dialogue. It's so bad, though, it's funny. So buy it if you see it at a bargain basement bin. It'll only set you back a buck anyway."

Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill were the BOMB man !!!

Right on

I clearly remember this movie cause it was one of the first non-propaganda movie I've ever seen. When you are used to watch movies with soldiers marching at the red square, Miami and girls with no military uniforms seemed like paradise Nowadays russian girls are far more liberal though

Just saw Catch Me If You Can ---not among Spielberg's best work but an entertaining film nonetheless---It actually made me curious about how much of that movie is real "fact" compared to Hollywood fiction--it says "based on true events" but I doubt that movie was 100% factual...think I'm gonna do some research tomorrow on the real Frank Abagnale Jr....Dicaprio and Christopher Walken did excellent jobs... I also believe the real Frank Abagnale has a small cameo in the film as a French police officer but I'm not sure which one he was...."A Beautiful Mind" was a much better "true story" movie

Also saw Phone Booth ...was pleasantly surprised...not the greatest movie but not a dud like I thought it might be...Joel Schumaccher did a nice job with the split screens and camera angles/shots to create a more suspenseful atmosphere...good movie to watch on cable or on DVD but not worth $10 to see it in the theatre...also seemed way too short

The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

The DVD actually talks about the differences between the true story and what they did. It was very interesting. My wife has a tendency to go beyond just the movie on a DVD, that time I was happy she did.

so do tell....how much of the movie was based on the true story?...I hear that a good portion of the movie was right on...unlike A Beautiful Mind which was exaggerated quite a bit I heard

Interestingly (to me, at least), the special features on some DVDs are more entertaining than the movies themselves. Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions come to mind here.

I've seen that happen.

I like the directors commentary. See the movie twice only now with the director.
