i didnt like teh story, or the fact there was so much technology before it's time. I understood most of the references.

EDIT: this was in reference to the League of EX. Gentlemen

I saw the movie Saturday. Not as good as I hoped but worth the admission price. I liked almost everything except for the human cast, the character development was weak with the whole cast and I wasn't happy with the female lead role in the film.
Actually I was hoping for more action and not so much 1 on 1 with the big guys.

Well you are probably not too familiar with the literary references then....

Most of the technology was from Captain Nemo, who according to the stories, was VERY advanced for the time. He was supposed to be a super smart and rich enough to make his visions a reality type of scientist.

I think they did a good job of making it way ahead of its time, but still look old-fashioned at the same time.

Just watched Aliens versus Predator. The movie is not as good as Predator 1 or 2 but it's definately worth watching. It's WAY better than alien 3 and 4 I can tell you that. I thoguth the twist at the end was very cool. Heard they are making a 2nd one

Also saw AVP today. Decent movie, probably better than I had actually expected it to be.

That's the thing I liked about the movie too. I also liked the personality of Dorian Gray performed by Stewart Townsend. I think it matched the image of the person in the literature very well.

I tend to agree there too. Most of the other actors got ****** too soon. I don't want to spoil it...

I love how for the trailer of that movie, they used the same line to attract audiences as they did for the movie Freddy vs. Jason. That line is "Whoever wins, it won't be us" or something to that effect.

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly. He, more than all the others, I think truly portrayed the character from the book to a tee. Captain Nemo would be my 2nd fave and close character.

I watched "Dawn of the Dead" last night. I enjoyed it and thought it is one of the better zombie movies out there.
