Yea that is the only actress in the credits that looks like the character from the movie. What bugs me is I thought I saw her in something else, but from her bio I haven't seen any of those movies. Although I probably recognized her from the Wicker Park Trailer and what is intersting about that is Diane Kruger is also in that who was Helen of Troy. I'm kind of mad that I never made it to see Troy on the bigscreen. Brad Pitt did a good job with Achilles I thought. I really like him as an actor especially in Fight Club and 12 monkeys.

I thought her character name was Mercedes, but I can not find that name in the credits and she looks really familiar. I checked us.imdb.com and nothing to be found. Her roll was a big enough one that she should have gotten a credit.
Pay attention to their converstation on the movie...she was Achilles mother. She was not mortal.

A quick google of "achilles mother" turns up that her name was Thetis. According to imdb listing, played by Julie Christie.

I know Thetis was Achilles mother, but in my first post I was refering to the "virgin" that achilles saved and grew attached to in the movie. Actually the more I think on it, the more I wonder how much Shakespear read the Illiad? Atleast in the movie it felt like there were some Shakespear elements with who fell in love with who on the enemy side..

Ok...I guess I misread your post as to which girl you were referring to.

I saw The Grudge last night... It was entertaining; but it seemed rushed towards the end... I want to the 'Ju On' tho, just to compare the remake to the origional...

Watched an Italian movie tonight....called Princesca.

I think the DVD box in the store described it best when they called it:

Suicide Club....A Japanese thriller.

It was kind of spooky and a cool fresh storyline...like Silence of the Lambs was when it first came out. However...it did have a slight cheesy slash & gore aspect to it too which kind of "takes away" from the well written story.

Watched Wicker Park last night. I really enjoyed it. Tonight was Mr. 3000. I thought it was okay. Enjoyable story line, but may seem a better movie to a bigger sports fan than myself.

That is one awesome flick!

P.S. The "teeing golf balls off the guy's mouth" scene has one of the best surround-sound effects ever. The sound of the ball ricocheting around the room will go to each of your speakers one by one.

The Bren gun scene also has some spectacular sound.

Around the World in 80 days.

Ok for a remake I guess, I've seen a couple of versions of this title.

Arnold as the turkish prince was just hilarious.
