Starsky and Hutch---decent movie that had its funny moments...Snoop Dogg was perfect as Huggy Bear and Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson played the title roles better then I thought going in...nice to see the original Starsky and Hutch (Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul) make a cameo appearance at the end of the movie

Constantine

Was really looking forward to seeing this movie. Always like Keanu Reeves, even though some of his performances aren't stellar he's usually enjoyable. Rachel Weisz was a hotty in The Mummy so I was looking forward to seeing her as well. Read a synopsis of the movie and thought it sounded cool.

Good story but so-so movie. Keanu did a good job. Rachel isn't as good looking as she was in The Mummy. The movie wasn't great but I believe that's because the director didn't put it together well.

Ok Shootcraps I'm going to have to disagree with you on this. Keanu I thought did a pretty good job on this movie. Rachel did not look her best I also agree with, but dang she is still a Hotty. The story line I liked a lot and thought the movie was pretty darn good. It flowed pretty good, but I think also it is like we are looking at a sequel instead of the first movie. There was a lot of stuff that needed to be explained and I knew there was no way they could get it all done in one movie. I'm hoping either by prequels or sequels we can see more of the background story lines, or more into the character of Constantine.

I am curious about what you thought with the beginning of the movie*Spoiler if you haven't seen this yet*: The guy that finds the spear of Destiny, and then gets hit by that car. I was totally not expecting that and what happened to that car, I thought it was a good way to set the pace of the movie.
Overall I am pretty happy with that movie, and I will definitely be picking that one up on DVD. Like I said I hope we see a sequel or prequel for it. I also imagine a few people/groups can be ticked about the religious parts of this movie(not starting a Debate here).

I thought the ending was pretty clever....makes total sense and the clues are all there throughout the entire movie...I also liked the flashbacks they showed once everything is finally revealed to show the viewers just how everything played out

I about wet myself on the ending when I saw it in the theater. I will admit I was hoping for a bit more blood in that movie, but thought the story line was pretty good. Heck the acting wasn't half bad either. For whatever reason this year, I have gotten back into watching Horror movies again. I have usually avoided this for the last 10 years or so in the theaters.

The Bride of Frankenstein (The 1930's original). A classic. I wanted to rent "Young Frankenstein" afterwards. Alas it was stolen from Hollywood Video. "Fire Good". A, 3.5 stars.

"The Mummy" (1930's), just okay. B- The remakes with Frasier are much better.

Yesterday and today I watched "Dracula" (1930s). Don't know what to make of it and the Spanish version. Somewhere between the two is a classic. Did you know that Vampires can turn into wolfs, also? The Spanish version was better, but Logosi is, well, Logosi. Now if Logosi could've done the Spanish version... B

I put in "Plan 9 From Outer Space" and I am not enjoying it as much as I did so many years ago. The acting is attrocious. D-, 0 stars

"In the Heat of the Night" - A classic. I never get tired of it. A+, 4 stars

"They Call Me Mr. Tibbs" - Glad I didn't buy it before renting it. A throw-away. C+, 1.5 stars

"Original Sin" - Definitely for fans of Angelina Jolie (if you want to see her naked); the acting was okay. All was going well until a guy kissed Banderas. Very adult themes. B-, 2 stars.

"Warriors of Heaven and Earth" - all the Buddhists will like it. B+. 3.5 stars. Watch the Chinese version with subtitles on, then watch the English version with subtitles on. Very educational. Beautiful cinematogrophy. Very enjoyable, but seems longer than 2 hours long. Recommended for "Foreign" and "War" gendre fans.

Is it just me or is Hollywood really into horror movies again?

Seems like 75% of the new movies are horror movies.

Personally I find most horror movies more gore than horror. Gore doesn't scare me, it just grosses me out. True fear/suspense - that scares me and it's much more enjoyable for me. But it's very hard to find. No one knows how to do it right without resorting to gore.
