Constantine

It was ok....certainly nothing special. Typical Keanu Reeves playing like typical Keanu Reeves. Only character in the movie that really seemed to play fairly well was the character for Gabriel.

Talking

some recent seen great movies:

TRAPPED (did I mention that before? I guess)
THE GRUDGE (scray!) I didn't like the ending but better than THE RING.
SUICIDE KINGS (christopher walken!!!)
ROMPER STOMPER (good one!)
THE NOTEBOOK - Love story. I thought it was good. no chick flick but one the husband can watch, too without falling asleep.

not good:

alien vs predator... YAWN!!

meet the fokkers...YAWN! Do they ALWAYS have to make a sequel from a succesfull movie? IMHO NO!!

Hell, they even made a TV SHOW out of it. terrible comercializing of ONE funny movie. good grief.

Enjoy! :wave2:

The Village---very very disappointing!!! especially considering M. Night Shyamalan's track record....if this movie is any indication his "surprise twist" at the end of all his movies is starting to run dry and he needs to come up with a new concept...seems like he feels he needs to put in one of these twists and is becoming a one trick pony...easily the worst movie he has written and directed...

the story starts up pretty good with a nice buildup of the story....but once the first "twist" is revealed the story totally loses any credibility and goes down from there....there are actually 3 big twists in the movie and each one of them is a major disappointment (the first twist is revealed about half way into the movie)...even the acting was pretty bad with the exception of newcomer Bryce Dallas Howard (Ron Howard's daughter) who gave in a very good performance...

movie reviewer Roger Ebert put it best in his reveiew of the film when he stated that about the big twist---"It's so witless, in fact, that when we do discover the secret, we want to rewind the film so we don't know the secret anymore." ---sad but I agree totally!!!

the movie was much better before finding out the twist, the buildup and drama was much better then the actual payoff!!!

I saw some bad reviews by critics in some websites. However, I kinda enjoyed the movie. Maybe because I liked the role that Reeves played. The story line was typical for a hero movie but it also had some depth, although some things did not make sense. Anyway, the interesting part was the character Constantine himself. I liked the way he looked at life, heaven, and hell and how he treated them. I give this move a B.

I thought that dude would have more role in the movie. Anyway, one thing I wondered was what the spear had to do in Mexico and how come it was found so easily. I think they should have come up with another artifact. That should still fit the story well.

Secret Window (w/ Johnny Depp)

It was pretty dismal. Fairly predictable, storyline had MAJOR elements ripped off straight from Fight Club and The Shining. Only saving grace was Johnny Depp's usual good acting.....although it was a severely cliched type character.

I found it very predictable, as well. And I don't like Johnny Depp at all, so there were really no redeeming factors in it for me.

I guess I'm lucky then....I really think Johnny Depp is a phoenominal actor....he does (like this) occasionally take some crappy roles though.

I think he does possess a certain charisma, but I just can't like him, don't know why. The one outstanding exception, Edward Scissorhands.

Maybe you should try What's Eating Gilbert Grape?

You may realize what great actors both Johnny Depp and Leonardo Dicaprio both are.

THE CURSE

This was the WORST movie I have seen in a long time. I DO NOT walk out on movies, and I wanted to walk out on this one.

I am a huge movie buff and I am constantly seeking the next "Good" Horror Flick. This movie was simply terrible. Most of the time I can enjoy certain elements of a film even if it is lacking in others... I cannot think of a single redeeming quality for this movie. Previously on my "Worst Movie EVER" list was cabin fever, but at least that movie had an impressive amount of Gore/Adult Content. This movie is PG-13 so it has NOTHING save for a few loud nouses that may or may not cause you to jump a little in your seat. Please save your seven dollars and buy a beer instead.

Thanks for the Tip Ken. I have been on the fence for this one for awhile. I guess that is why they didn't let no one review this one. Hmm so I guess the next movie I will see is Robots. I'm in a big mood for horror movies lately though.

We rented and watched the movie "Ray"...

What a great movie - Jamie Foxx did such an outstanding job with his portrayal that I felt I was actually watching Ray Charles.

Now I am also a wrist man...
