Re: error 0x000000F4

This is what I could find:

Stop error 0x000000F4 - CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION

Connecting a hard disk drive in slave only mode leads to system halt during resume from standby

I hope this helps.

Re: error 0x000000F4

True, SATA hard drives don't have jumpers on them, it depends on which SATA motherboard connectors you use: some are "master" SATA connectors and others are "slave" connectors. Mentioned in the article under Resolution - it states to 1) connect the hard disk to a master channel (look at your motherboard's instructions to find which SATA connectors are master and which are slave). 2) change your SATA cable (could be a bad cable).

There's 2 other options: connect another device as master, and re-install windows (I wouldn't do that until the last resort).

I googled the stop error and skimmed some forums on this, they state that it could be a hard drive problem (hard drive failing) or a ram problem (reseating the ram, clean the contacts, run memtest to check the ram). If your using an USB or Firewire cable to connect the ipod to the pc, try using another cable.
