| I've seen lots of discussion about burning CDs on the CUSL2 under Windows 2000. But since those posts are gone (or at least I'm not searching right) I can't look at them for reference. In Nero when I've tried to burn a CD from files on my hard drive I get a message saying Invalid writestate Could not perform EndTrack Current program area is empty Could not perform Fixation Then the burn process ends. I've had trouble in Disc Juggler as well. What's the deal? Is it something to do with the ATA drivers from Intel? Thanks in advance, dave

| Nero uses a different version of the ASPI driver under Win2k than Win9x. Uninstall Nero and get the version for Win2k. Check out http://www.ahead.de/en/w2k.htm for more detail. Do not use the Intel ATA drivers if you want to burn CDs under Win2k, you will run into the invalid writestate errors more often with Intel's ATA drivers. Just use SP1 for Win2k and wait a couple of weeks for SP2 to ship if you want ATA100. FuNkY |

| go into device manager, hard disk controller, properties, driver, update driver. Search for a better driver. Choose Standard dual ide driver. Reboot. apply the microsoft ATA100 hotfix. skip the intel drivers until they get it right. hotfix is here : http://www.viahardware.com/download/...x86_en.exe.zip |
