Random Reboots

Hello, I started having random reboots yesterday after 3 to 5 min, so I started checking everything I could in the OS with no positive results, so I took everything back to Default settings in the OS, and default in the Bios. I've already checked the memory and everything checked out OK. Any help Please. THKS

Power problems are the number one suspect for random reboots in my opinion, followed by memory and processor problems. If your memory checked out OK, you might want to try another power supply and see if that helps. Good luck!

Cogar's right. But that Antec is a pretty good PSU. Sasser caused random reboots as well, so better check your AV app to make sure it's up to date as well.

You are pefectly right. These days in my replies I like to suggest virus checks up front as these succers biggy back as you log in if you are not properly protected. The sysmptoms are usually the same. The 32.bobax.c also causes a "loop" like symptom.

Let me also say that in some instances keyboard incompatibility also can cause reboots.

Yes I have taken settings back, but still rebooting. But know it only reboots about once every hour. thks, will check into you guys other suggestions. come to think of it I ran AVG yesterday, and everything checked out OK, running it as I type now.

Update:
Just thought I'd edit this reply, instead of posting new one. Just finished AV check, everythings OK there.

might try bumping up the volts on the mem just a tad, no more than 2.7. OCZ likes a little juice. Try that next. If all else fails after taking the mem out and reseating it, and checking all your connections, then as Cogar says, might have to swap out the PSU...which I hate as it can be a real chore. But I keep a spare just in case.
