| Support Java Does XP support Java? I sometimes do Java programming and need to used Java. I heard rumours that XP doesn't support Java. Is this true? |

| If you are doing Java development you actually need to download and install the J2SE SDK (formerly known as the JDK) in order to be able to compile. This is true regardless of the OS you are running on - none ship with an SDK that I know of. Once you have this installed everything is fine under XP. XP just doesn't ship with a Java JRE because of lawsuit, etc.
