Exclamation

I just switched from win98se to win2000 and have noticed an oddity with my drives. Both my IBM 75GXP drive and my Iomega Zip disk drive day they are SCSI devices in device mangler. The system is fast and seems ok but it just seems odd. I even tried installing the Intel ATA drivers and it fixed nothing. Any thoughts anyone?

Btw my DVDrom drive seems to be installed correctly as an IDE device.

Hey guys,

i just moved from 98se to w2k also, but my hard drives are under the "disk drives" tab and it says nothing about
them being Scsi drives anywhere. I don't know what to say , I only had this problem when installing
Intel ATA's in win98se. If I Put intel drivers in then diskdrives are scsi, take them out and everything is
back to normal. So,if you didn't install the Intel's before you had this problem, I don't know what to say, but i'll
tell you what my settings are and what i've installed so far.

bios 1006.001 beta was installed before i put in w2k
scsi bios setting is disabled in the bios
w2k is service pack1
installed intel inf 2.80 in safe mode
video card drivers
directx8.0a
sound card drivers
modem drivers
Also, extra ports or settings were disabled in bios.

My setup:
cusl2
p3 700e at 1008mhz
30gb ibm 75 gxp
30gb ata66 maxtor
panasonic burner
toshiba cd-rom
no scsi controllers or devices
I don't think the other stuff matters for this question.

BTW, thanks again mule for helping me out with my
AIW Radeon.
