| I was just going to update my hard drive configuration and install Win2K pro. On the old forum, someone had put up a decent walkthrough. I think it was Tom. Now when I need it, it's gone. I guess I should have printed it. Anyway, I am going to a Promise FT100 and two ibm's in raid 0. I have not been able to get my FT66 drivers to be recognized by Win2k, and don't expect the FT100's to work either. The work around had something to do with loading the drivers before going to raid 0 config. Anyone have the post I am talking about? thanx |

| Actually, the updated drivers for FT66 is recognized by Win2k. I had the same problem when I first got my FT66. Had to follow the workaround posted on the promise.com site. What a pain it was! I have since migrated to FT100 and the drivers worked fine in Win2k. Just remember to press F6 for other drivers in the Win2k installation and insert the disk for the FT100 drivers. Other than installing the hard drives in separate channels for optimal performance and making sure in your bios the SCSI Device as your bootable drive, it is like any other hard drive installation. Enjoy! |
