WinXP Home, NT on-line Scanner Service errors

Why are there so many NT Scanner Service errors in Win XP, and how is such a problem resolved? I patiently go through the MS error reporting sequence and enjoy reading the MS thank you for reporting the error message, but is anything ever done about it? Does MS compile the error messages, in this case all about NT scanner service, analyze what is going wrong and then send me some sort of correction while I am not aware of it? Any help or even comments on this would be appreciated. This is becoming an irritating problem.
