XP SP3 upgrade question

I have the original XP Pro upgrade CD, which requires me to insert an upgrade CD (which I have), then install SP2 from a MS CD. I used to then run windows updates...

Question: I now have the SP3 download, do I have to install SP2 or can I just apply SP3 straight to the original XP Pro upgrade install?

thanks,
jtf

Re: XP SP3 upgrade question

You can run SP3 after the install, or just create a slipstreamed XP SP3 CD.

Re: XP SP3 upgrade question

XP sp3 can be installed on sp1 or sp2. So if your upgrade CD is XP sp1 you can install sp3. If your upgrade is XP RTM aka original version you would need to install sp1 or sp2 first.
