Hey guys, Gbud is away and his server is not running so I have setup a CS:S server...I dont have quite as much upload bandwitdh as Gbud but enough to host at least 8 players. What do you guys think, CS:S or HL2MP? and what maps would you like to see if CS:S? and bots or no bots?

Sounds great. Is it actually up? If so, what is it called? (URL might help too.) My personal preference is CS:S. It is essentially the only thing I play online. The standard (official) maps are fine. IMO, there are some good Source ports out there (de_inferno, de_train, de_nuke), but sticking to the basics would make more sense for starting. I prefer no bots. I can play bots on my own computer.

My vote would be for HL2DM, but CS:S is fine. Any idea when Gbud is supposed to be back?

I believe in one week, I am uploading the maps to the file server as I type this so it wont be long and I will have it up and running. I also set the same rcon pword to the server as Gbud had so for those that know it
the server address is 63.195.1.75 and should be up in about thirty minutes or so.

nicotine ... can you tell me how exactly you set the server up?? I have been racking my brains over it since a long time ....

I want a server for my friends in mumbai .....

I am behind a DI-714P+ router ..... and I have tried opening ports, setting up a static IP and using Port Forwarding ...

Is there anything besides this which I need to do??
