| Gbud's Dedicated HL2DM Server A place for the ABX Zone buds to play. Server IP = 64.81.71.105 Currently a 10 player server which is open to the public. So unless we are planning a get together it is first come first serve. Services by Nicotine Teamspeak Server = g2.omnesia.net Player Stats - http://g3.omnesia.net/~srcds_1 Whos on? and what map is running. Maps in Rotation dm_carousel - A new, really cool map with slams(lazer trip mines). Fun for 4 to 8 players dm_frenzy - A great dm map. A must for a good fragfest. Grav Gun Galore! dm_six - An awesome remake of an old quake dm level. Great layout with many ways to sneak away, or sneak attack. dm_Void - A really fun map for just two guys or up to eight. dm_lostvillage - Also a remake map. One of my favorites. Great lines and weapon layout. dm_avalon_b1 - A gorgeous map with great feal. Plays very smooth. dm_Casual - A fun map. Not great to look at. But good layout. Just download the maps from the game server. Last edited by Gbud : 02-27-2006 at 08:01 PM. |

| Its my pleasure. I feel a little bad though, when I play on there with a 5 ping. It is a bit of an advantage. Maybe I should drink more to reduce the ping advantage. ![]() Let me know if there are some maps out there that you played and would like on the rotation. The map will rotate every 60 minutes. |

| i think the rotation should be 30-40 minutes. after that i get bored with the map and leave.

Seriously, it is my opinion that frame rate is more important than ping, although if two players have the same frame rate, having a lower ping is an advantage. That is, someone with a good frame rate of ~70 and a so-so ping of 70 is probably in better shape than someone who has a so-so frame rate of ~35 and a good ping of 35. That "rule of thumb" would start breaking down when the ping goes over 100, though--which mine is. | |

I propose a solution for the inequity of mismatched ping; every client should have extra spurious packets launched at it from the other clients until its ping rises to match the player with the slowest ping ! Then everyone can be equal and it will be a level playing field !! Yes I know, brilliant!, please dont all thank me at once...

| I´d like to join the fun, but everytime i start STEAM when being online, i get a BSOD telling me that there is (was) a BAD POOL CALLER. ***!It updated STEAM last time (no need for CD anymore, yippie!), but after that again BSOD. HL2 DM is so depressing when played alone. Greetings Dru
