| The higher your level, the more experience you loose with each kill. However I have noticed that it seems to count from each rebirth fountain onwards. So if you check 1 new fountain you can get killed 1 time without loosing exp. points, every consecutive death after that will decrease your exp. by a LOT. The effect of this isn't so noticable on normal level but I'll tell you, on epic and legendary you are back to zero on that bar before you know it. Unless you don't get killed of course. BTW: page 22 of the manual explains it too!

| Well... that was about the only part I did read... Can't believe I'm actually thinking about playing it on Legendary too because of all the problems. Still a bit addicted to eventually finding those great items. Epic/Leg. definitely provide a real challenge. Normal is easy compared to that. Or maybe I'll just get back to playing prey.

| Well, I finally got my system setup and got some time in with TQ. Up to level 21 and arrived in Egypt. Got a couple of side quests done before I called it quits last night. Game still runs pretty much the same as the previous system. Same stuttering/slowdown here and there. One thing that has me troubled. There was one side quest that I didn't complete in Greece. The one where you find the guy standing in a swamp and he wants you to let his comrades know that hes okay and on the way. (Or something like that, I'm not home right now). Anyways I couldn't find who I was suppose to report this too once I got to the city. So that quest is left undone. If anybody remembers to help me out, please PM or use the spoiler tag. I was hoping that since I had to re-install the game on my new setup I didn't screw up that side quest. I only had that one and my main quest at the time of the rebuild. Thanx.

| New Titan Quest Patch Released the new 1.11 patch for Titan Quest has been released and can be downloaded via the game's auto-updater... General: - Fixed NPC dialogue fading when bumped by pets - Fixed crash when loading a custom map in-game that contains a sheep herder - Fixed a word wrap error in monster and NPC name dialogs that appears in some languages - Changed mouse input to swap left and right buttons when the option is selected in Windows - Implemented Time Smoothing to reduce hitches and decrease blur when the player character is moving - Implemented logging system to track crashes in Titan Quest™. Upon a crash, Titan Quest™ will create a log file named "Exceptions.txt" in the My Games\Titan Quest directory. Video: - Fixed crashes and graphical corruptions related to low video memory on PCs - Fixed a 'Fatal Error' message appearing when the game is booting up after the update process on a system with a Mobility™ Radeon® 9200 - Improved video memory test to correctly identify 128 MB ATI Radeon® x300 and ATI Mobility™ Radeon® 9200 cards - Fixed graphic elements becoming corrupted when running NVIDIA® 6600 series card over a long period of time - Implemented Triple Buffering to allow smoother gameplay and less blurring with V-Sync enabled. To enable Triple Buffering, go to the My Games\Titan Quest\Settings directory and open the options.txt file after changing any option in game. Find the setting called "tripleBuffer" and change its value to true. If the setting does not exist, add the line “tripleBuffer=true” to the end of the options.txt file. Note that enabling triple buffering uses more Video memory, so you may have to try it both ways to find the correct setting for your system. Multiplayer: - Fixed slow down in gameplay due to large amounts of player chat - Fixed items being lost in the trade window if the server shuts down while the trade window is open Editor: - Portal selection with the portal link tool can now be selected from the front and the back. Previously some portals required 180 degree rotation to be selected. - Portal status colors will now render properly with the portal link tool - Impassable terrain and sector layers will now be visible when using ATI cards - Fixed issue where building the mini-maps could discard unsaved work - Fixed the sector layer list not properly updating when deleting a sector type - Fixed system modal dialogs showing up behind the Editor window Other Notes : This patch updates the Miles Sound System drivers in the game. If you have manually altered or updated these files previous to this patch you will need to restore the drivers that the game installed initially for the patch to install properly.

| I forgot to post the thanx to Subzero & White Eclipse for assisting me with the side quest. Any-who, I'm up to level 25 now and about halfway through Egypt. Has anyone installed the next patch and seen noticeable results? After I was done playing last night, I check my email and noticed the patch had been released, so I downloaded it. Will probably install it tonight before I start playing. Of course after I back up my character.

| You're welcome! I installed the new patch. It helps framerates for me, but I still got a crash. I feel it is related to the miles sound system, so I am extracting some files from DSII and using those instead (as someone on another board suggested). I'll let everyone know how it works. |

| Glad it helped! The patch did help my framerates. They still aren't great but better. I'm now playing legendary.....

| Sub, once in a while I experience the stutters too now (I'n in Asia). Now that often - but I am sure it was not there when I started. I crashed again yesterday and lost my quests. Luckily I backup everytime I leave - so I only lost one quest. This is driving me crazy, I hate crashes! Left prime 95 and rthdribl running over night - no problems. |

| Install patch 1.11 and make sure you examine the crashlog that is being generated and send it to Iron Lore for investigation. Adding the crash log is something they added. I haven't experienced that many crashes anymore. Just the occasional. Take a look at this utility which will do lots of cool things and also let you recover from a corrupter character. And no, I didn't cheat my way through normal and epic. Just fiddles a bit with my character when I started legendary. http://tq.demortex.com/ Also for other great mods check out bman's mods.. They will allow you to use infine potions... 100 potions don't take up 20 slots anymore. They will fit in 1 inventory slot. I used this one and the use relics on epic and legendary items.

| Having 100 potions take up only one slot so like the best mod to have. I usually carry about 75 health and 75 energy around with so that's quite a few slots. I haven't had a crash issue, just the slow down sometimes. Although I think its due to never having to load a new area when you enter it. Cause it seems to slow down for me when entering new areas. The only crash I had was early on in the game, haven't had one since then or after both patches. But my sessions usually only last for about 3 or 4 hours at a time before I give my eyes a 30 minute or so rest before loading back up. Sometimes I just leave it paused and minimized while doing something else.
