| I got a pretty well much complete set of Orcish armour in Caldera. I stood right in front of one of the Orcs in Ghorak Manor and nabbed it out of the chest. He yelled, but didn't attack me or lower disposition. I got it like, within an hour of gameplaying, lol. Its easy as pie, lol. As for ebony...well, I know that Redoran House quest [I think...] gets you some, when you kill that last dude. It's not really hard. And TQ, you give them 12k? Thats some pretty serious unbalancing, really. Then again, this is from the guy who was going to try and use the console to put Mudcrab in Balmora...

Yep, I give them what I think they should have. It's a fundamental disagreement I have with the guys at Bethesda, that selected merchants should have enough gold so you can get reasonably close to what your items are worth. It's worth noting that in Neverwinter merchants have an unlimited supply of gold wherever they are and they pay full pop for whatever you bring in with no negotiating. My wife tells me that the merchant situation is similar in Sacred. We both always thought that money was too tight in Morrowind.

| I did the same, but I wanted to "know" the game before doing it. So once I got through the MQ and the Mournhold MQ, I upped the ante on Muddy, Creeper and the Thirsk trader in Solstheim (since I was in Solstheim for third and final MQ). |

| I'm currently enjoying this game for the third time now. My Battlemage is at level 14 so he's not a pushover but also not so powerful so that the game is boring. I'm going to slow down my character's development of his primary and secondary skills to prevent him from becoming a tank. I'm going to focus on speechcraft, illusion, merchantile, marksmanship, acrobatics and sneak, which should make gameplay deeper and more satisfying that just whacking everything. An example: I foolishly picked up a cursed item off an altar in a Daedric shrine when I heard the Daedra teleport in behind me (thank you Audigy 2). I quickly ran to the back of the shrine where there was an open door which I slammed in his face. I then summond a skeletal minion, equipped my one paralyze scroll, then opened the door. When he stepped through and was busy with my skeleton, I hit him with paralyze, then slipped out and shut the door, effectively entombing his Daedric derriere. That was quite fun...

Hey! That's me! Great character. Get the Boots of Blinding Speed. They work very well with a Breton. ![]() __________________ Visit and chat with the ABXBuds at the #ABxZone channel on EFnet Internet Relay Chat If you don't have it then download mIRC from www.mIRC.com | |

| Oh, .... I should tell everyone. I'm taking a break from Morrowind for a while. I'm doing ARENA, which is Elder Scrolls One. It's a free gift from Bethesda. Very dated graphics but I'm up to a level 12 character and starting to enjoy it. A Breton. It's very interesting seeing the roots of Elder Scrolls Three and very interesting actually visiting the other provinces other than Morrowind. ![]() __________________ Visit and chat with the ABXBuds at the #ABxZone channel on EFnet Internet Relay Chat If you don't have it then download mIRC from www.mIRC.com |

I might be taking a break myself after today because Vampire: Bloodlines arrives at my friendly, neighborhood EB. This first/third person RPG is from Troika, the folks that brought us Arcanum and is based on Half-Life 2's Source engine. It promises to be a very good RPG. Possibly great, but we shall see.

| And now HalfLife 2 has arrived. But since Morrowind is the game that it is, I know I will back to do more quests in Morrowind after a HL2 break. ![]() __________________ Chat with the ABXBuds at the #ABxZone channel on EFnet Internet Relay Chat If you don't have it then download mIRC from www.mIRC.com |

I'd be interested to know if that holds up with you, trav... Considering Morrowind has now given my wife and I countless hundreds of hours of play I wonder if FSP games are worth playing these days. Certainly, they can be compelling, but is the truncated gameplay time a worthwhile investment?
