Now available via Steam...anyone play this yet?
I'm enjoying it very much. Very entertaining with Dragonforce...

Re: Audio Surf

After I used up the 4 demo songs I just had to have this game. The day I bought it I was up till 1:30AM playing it. I just couldn't stop That was about 8hrs worth of playing. I have over 3gigs of music on my hd from Johnny Horton to Metallica, Louis Prima, Al Martino to Judas Priest and AC/DC. I must say, every song is enjoyable to play. Also, for 10 bucks it payed for itself in 1 night as I could've easily have gone to a bar and spent 40 or 50 bucks. Great game!!!

It's a pretty fun song, as well as Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns N' Roses

Some of my favorites: Creaque Alley from The Mama's and Papa's, Truckin by The Dead, My Woman From Tokyo by Deep Purple, L.A. Women by The Doors......the list goes on and on. You musta stealthed that to get such a high score.

Re: Audio Surf

I used Eraser Elite which is my favorite character. Lots of reds and yellows in the last half of the song. Lots of fun

Re: Audio Surf

Well the thing looks promising, BUT, even for the demo i would have to download more than 300MB via STEAM. On my pc at home, over ISDN (blazzing 64 kbps) this would take more than 12 hours of downloading (if STEAM would actually ever use all the bandwidth provided).

What the hell do i need STEAM for even downloading the demo?

Greetings

Dru

Re: Audio Surf

Okay, i did let my pc download the demo during two nights on 128kbps, so i was able tp play it yesterday late evening.

And i think I HAVE TO BUY IT!

Never did i spend 10 bucks with so much delight to get a pc game.

Greetings

Dru

P.S.: Played something from Queens of the Stone age, constantly uphill but great fun, something from Ohrbooten and Rainer von Vielen, great fun too. Interresting thing i noticed: Meldoy, instruments, etc. define your race track and the position of the blocks, what really tied me to the game is the combination of having fun playing it while having fun listening to the music while having fun listening to the lyrics (i do love songs where listeing to the lyrics alone would provide entertainment (in what ever way you prefer).

Re: Audio Surf

One thing i noticed about global scores.

When you look at the info you get via mouse-over about other high scores, you also see a "profile" of the race track. This profile sometimes has great differences to the profile my track had.
So, do you get "easier" tracks when using low data rate (quality) mp3's instead of high data rate (quality) recordings?

Greetings

Dru

Re: Audio Surf

Qntal is great imho.

I really like riding it. Only did Mono just a few minutes before. I'm number one in global scores right now .
