How short is really really short? If its less than 15 hours I consider it "short". If its less then 10 hours then I consider it to be "very short". If its less than 8 hours then its just a ripoff.

according to the reviews I read---ripoff short (under 5 hours)

apparently Multiplayer is the main long term appeal of this game

I caved in and bought Call of Duty 4 after being totally disgusted with the majorly bugged Gears of War...will start it up this weekend

this is my first Call of Duty game...I was always a Medal of Honor fan (at least the earlier games) and never got around to trying CoD, although I heard great things about the game...too many similarly themed WW2 shooters got me bored...but I like the fact that in CoD 4 the action moves away from the WWII setting into something more modern

Re: Call Of Duty 4---WOW!

I have just played the first part where you are on the boat. WOW what a neat game. I was starting to get seasick Not only is it very cool, but it plays great at 1440x900 which is my laptop's native res. that is with all settings at normal. My desktop would totally slam it then. I am starting to think some of these games are purposely resource intensive just to boost hardware sales. I wont mention any names like Crysis.

Re: Call Of Duty 4---WOW!

COD4 is the most amazing looking game I have ever seen on a PC. Period. If you have a nice 8800 gtx puppy like me and otherwise a good system, this one blows everything else away. Forget Crysis... If you want to see how smooth and great a game can look, get COD4. WOW... Forget about the SP being short, this is a MP game to begin with.

Agreed-----this game is just plain excellent!!!

I don't know how short it is----can't say anything about that so far----but the three hours I've played so far are just SUPERB!

Wait till you hit that AC-130 Gunship segment----talk about realistic and fun!! Make sure you use all three weapons in the gunship---all three are TOTALLY distinctive!!
