| Patrick Stewart's VO as Uriel Septim is excellent work. I'm still sorting out controls and the like. Graphics are quite impressive. I've defined my character...so that's about it for now.

| For anyone wondering if they should take the plunge into this game... if u liked Morrowind then you will certainly love Oblivion just go for it! Very similiar game play (of course) however with much improved graphics and user interface - stunning is the word I would use! The combat is much improved and I would say is good enough. The journal seems well organised and the compass seems to add a strong sense of direction and positional awareness (lol). Not far enough in yet to say if the main quest is any good but as u know u dont have to limit yourself to that! Things I dont like so far: cross hair gets in the way of the beautiful eye candy, can turn it off but then its difficult to interact with objects and the rag doll physics are laid on a little thick. Despite the advances made in Chronicles of Riddick when sneaking around the game relies on the old Thief glowing icon trick... Also, nothing really new yet but I'm only a few hours in. For those who didnt enjoy Morrowind but are considering this game; its very similar in game play but it feels much tighter in setting quests and direction so u shouldnt get too lost, lol Graphics are very nice and I think I will be able to finally let go of Morrowind!

| You are right, visually it is stunning. Never played morrowind (or did for 10 minutes but didn't really like it too much because of some things). Does anyone know how to easily assign spells and such and cast them. I know you can assing items to 1-8 in your inventory but that seems very ackward since you have a lot more items in your inv. a lot of times. Or do you have to go into your inventory to select a spell and then press "C"???

I like the menu layout for the maps and how the quests are managed. Would have preferred a spinwheel for the inventory and spells. I found a typo on page 8 of my printed manual. Shows the icons for character and attributes transposed, but the screen shot seems ok. Might only be a problem in the Aussie version? although I'd expect this to be the same doco as for the US.

| http://pc.ign.com/articles/698/698405p1.html The've given it a 9.3, which is probably about right IMO. Warning: the game crashed to desktop and when I continued the game one of the NPC's on a horse was invisible to me. Apparently I was invisible to him too because he kept saying "whats going on here?" in a confused voice. Very weird. I reloaded a previous save point to fix it. Save often!

| I'm loving it, playing at 1920x1200 resolution with HDR enabled... damn stuff can be bright sometimes but wow. great looking. I found the vampires (: haven't turned myself yet though, i'm not sure i want to hehe. I blew 5k on a home in Anvil that was haunted... still need to clean out the spirits i suppose. (: Game is awesome. I'm a lvl 5 high elf mage. I stopped the main quest after i saved....well i won't spoil it.

| Just coming up for air. "You cannot go any further, turn around and go back" Dang, but I hate invisible walls ! Still the maps just couldnt go on forever. I would have preferred they had bordered everything with water as in Far Cry or cliffs or something. No more crashes for the past several gaming hours, so it seems whatever the bugs are they are few and far between. This game is magnificent. I doubt that I will ever need to return to Morrowind again. Possibly I can also uninstall Carnivores 2 and a few other of my old games. There is a certain sameness to the flora in many places (old English country side) and I'm hoping the variety picks up a bit, (how I dont know), however there is so much to explore its not really a big issue. The words stunning, magnificent, breathtaking all fall short of fully describing what they've done in this game, suffice it to say that this is what we've been waiting for!
