Thanks but I don't really want to "console create" it. I want to find it. However, since I've already visited "all" the containers, I've triggered them. Will they now regenerate random loot so I can go back and find the coin?

Good read on all the various fixes for the bug. I have Frostcrag Spire installed (though I'm not a mage) and it seems all the have to do is move its load order so that it loads Battlehorn.
I also have the Skeleton Key and a pretty high security skill so entering the Mystic Emporium won't be a problem.

I'm thinking about getting the Game Of The Year Edition of Oblivion, but it probably won't be until December, as I've decided what my entertainment purchases for November are already.

Does the GOTY edition have all the add-on mods? (Pirates Cove is a must have.)

No, it only has NOTN and Shivering Isles.

Yeah, bethesda gave some lame explanation about having too many pop quests to start the game for an oblivion newbie if all the plugins were installed with the GOTY edition -- and they didn't want to alter them in any manner. Translation = we may still be able to hit these people up for more if they like the game.
