| Re: Gold: The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion I remember playing this a couple years back on my 6800GT and spending hours tweaking up the ini files for performance... Today I just installed the game, patched it and now I'm playing it at max settings while downloading the OOO mod in the background and its very very smooth... no hitches... it feels like a new game!I wonder how Morrowind would play? heh heh...

Ahhh. Shivering Isles. Good expansion. I'll have to load Oblivion on my new rig and check out the new performance. ![]() __________________ Asus X48 Rampage Formula / Intel Q9450 / 2 x 2GB OCZ Reaper HPC PC2 8500 / VisionTek Radeon HD3870X2 OverClocked Edition / Western Digital Raptor X Hard Drive / Two Western Digital Caviar RE2 WD5001ABYS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drives / Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Elite Pro 7.1 / Creative Gigaworks S750 7.1 Speaker System / Lian Li 343B cube case / PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Crossfire Edition | |

| Re: Gold: The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Arcane, there are not a lot of alternatives to Oblivion that do not also require relatively new hardware. One RPG you might consider, which has a less demanding hardware requirement than Oblivion (but not a whole lot), is Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Rather than being set in a high fantasy environment, it is a "modern" RPG, played out in Southern California. It is somewhat buggy, but the version sold on Steam will run OK as is and there is a "true patch" bug fix available on the Internet that helps it run a little better. Incidentally, you do not have to be a "vampire" fan to like it, although that is the main concept. The story is very well done. |
