Im thinking of becoming a Elementalist / Warrior. Is that a dumb choice?
Any character advice is welcome, especially from longer term players with hindsight

Warrior/Elementalist would make more sense, as you must use the armor of your primary...a cloth-wearing warrior would be at a slight disadvantage in a melee.......Necro has it's points also, my E/N is a good damage-dealer, but needs to rely on a tank in the party for up close and personal "wet work".

I don't mind the blood and Entrails hitting my armor when I'm swinging my sword in the front of the group. Though I do see you haning out in the back Wingit picking up the loot!

Count:
Warrior/Elementalist is good for a tank and you gotta like upfront action. For warrior I would do that or warrior/monk. For long range stuff I would go something like what Wingit has. my next character I build I will probably build a long range player and maybe go with a Necro/Ranger type which would be interesting I think. I think there are enough varities of characters that you can have a lot to try and work through the game. The other character that is always in demand is a Primary Monk. You gotta have them to heal the paryt and Res people on some of these missions. I can not believe how many times I have died on the Frost Gate mission.

Kryta has some nasty surprises there too.

I am on European servers and no way I can alter that. Are there US servers for you or are we all on European. A lot of German and French chat going on

We have US servers and "International "servers...check your drop-down...no US option? If so, that's a shame, was looking forward to seeing you ingame!

Hey Count this link is for you:
Changing territories
Looks like you can change yours to a North American territory if you want, although you can only change territories 5 times, and the last one is final. There are international districts were you can meet up and play, so maybe we need to try and get that set up. I'm off to bed for now, but maybe when I get a chance I'll check and see when you are on. Whats your Character's name by the way?

Guys, is this game worth it? The problem that I have with MMORPG's is that I can't devote gobs and gobs of time to them and the other thing is that my friend (who has been playing guild wars for about 4-5 months [he works at EB and got the retail keys really, really early and had a guild and everything]) tells me that the PvE (player vs environment) is pretty boring right now and that I should wait until some patches/expansions come out.

The beauty of this game is you don't have to devote gobs and gobs of time to play. In the end you probably will becuase it is pretty addicting. As for the PvE part of it I have to disagree there is a lot to for that. I haven't even touched the PvP stuff of the game since I am having so much fun with the PvE. I doubt to many people in this thread would say that the PvE is boring. I know Wingit is liking it. Plus if you hook up with a few buds it can be pretty entertaining.

This world seems pretty big, and it is fun wanting to know what is just over the next hill or around the next band. You never know what you might get when you kill the next creature.

I'd say get it. The worst is you get game that you may not like(not to many people don't like it) for $49.99 and with no monthly fee you don't have to worry about wasting more money on it.

I suppose I'll probably pick it up after I build the new machine.
