I'm thinking about picking it up but I already have to finish a couple of other games first. It looks like there will be plenty to keep me busy in Guild Wars so it will probably take up a lot of my gaming time. Not to mention its free to play online. I just haven't got into buying a game and then paying to play it online.

Those shots are before the land becomes a wasteland. Gameplay feels pretty solid to me so far. I'm now a level 6 Warrior/Monk.

I don't really know much about the game..but warrior/monk? Does that mean the class system is like FFXI at all?

i picked up this game and rolled a necro/mesmer. i'm beginning to think that's not the best of combinations. anyway, the game itself is great, very addicting.

indeed, another time-sink ..I've teamed up with Arutha (Drex Deathaxe ingame....I'm Wastrel Woeborn) on a few killing sprees and am having a lot of fun...give a holler ingame. Necro is fun, I've used it as a second to my Elementalist prime and must say "raising the dead" has never been more enjoyable (hear that count?... lol!)

here's a couple of screenies of "post-searing Ascalon"...a much grimmer place:

I never played FFXI so I couldn't say for sure. Mostly you have a Primary profession or class and you will need a second one if you want to advance in the game. I did warrior/monk since the monk aspect of it I can heal myself when I am in the middle of a battle. You can choose any combo which is a good thing. It makes the characters unique that way.

turns out i was using my points incorrectly, so i rerolled my necro. for now i haven't chosen a second profession, although i was thinking going elemental. one complaint i do have though, i wish they would have allowed the use of all 10 keys for the skill bar. eight is too few, imo.

and this time around i'm going to farm a lot before i hit the second stage. anyway, my in game name is roxas stormrook.

Yea, it kinda sounds like FFXI. You would choose a main and secondary profession, and the secondary would complement the main. It was one of the better ideas Square-Enix came up with in FFXI, and I'm glad someone else is using something similar, it allows for a lot of diversity in character creation.

Here are some other screen shots post Searing and alittle bit of action. What is to bad and Wingit probably agrees with me, but the screens truly do not give this game justice at all. As far as the lag issue goes I haven't really had any problems when I am out questing. Although in the District areas where everyone is at trading and stuff, it might get alittle choppy when you first arrive, but it smooths itself out really fast.

If you have not done the Great Northern Wall quest then make sure you find the ghost in that quest and return his armor to him(bonus quest) and you will get a 1,000 EP for that! that was a very nice bonus. My problem so far is not being able to find any dang fur to get the Armor I want!
