| Portal: First Slice instead of buying the Orange Box I purchased HL2: Episode 2 as a standalone through Steam...heard a lot of good thing about Portal so I was glad to see Steam offering up a free extended demo of the game called Portal: First Slice as an exclusive for those with Nvidia graphics cards...the demo lets you play 10 levels for free (being that the game is only 19 levels that is an amazing deal for a demo) Portal: First Slice on Steam fired it up yesterday and finished it within half an hour...fun game but I don't get all the hoopla over it...I'm glad I didn't pay for it as it seems way too short to even consider paying extra $$$ for it...the puzzles get harder as you go along but nothing too extreme and the graphics are decent...gameplay is very innovative but not as groundbreaking as I thought overall: fun game but I don't get the mass hysteria over it

| Re: Portal: First Slice I havent noticed any mass hysteria although its very popular, but its certainly a fun game and very innovative. I'd recommend you finish it to fully appreciate it. (and there is no cake)

| Re: Portal: First Slice Well, you have not played the best puzzles yet. And the story has not really gotten going either. |

| Re: Portal: First Slice It takes a good bit of time to get through some of the levels that you didn't get to try. |

| Re: Portal: First Slice I have a steam account with HL, Prey etc, but the demo of Portal wont run on my computer and "gets frozen" during the loading process.
