Asus I'm back.Rampage Formula X48

I just finished building my pc again with a Rampage Formula x48 DDRII motherboard. What a nice piece of work it is.I had a Gigabyte DQ6 it for a year and a half.It was nice. But you know you just beat an Asus board. Now all I need to do is figure it all out. It's running stock on a dirty install of winXP64.The OS comes later after figure out the pc.Now if nvidia would hurry and get out those new cards out,I'd be set.
I did however redo the north bridge and south bridge heat sink.I took all the stock gook off and replaced it with AS5.I then put small sinks on all the little MOSFETs.I think 18 total. Then I lapped the CPU flat.I have the cpu and video card water cooled.Looks like the hard parts over (knock wood).

Re: Asus I'm back.Rampage Formula X48

Ok I put a few pics in here.Just in case anyone was interested. The board runs very well so far.Still trying to see what the boards fsb limit is.So far it's 450 fsb.The CPU is set with multipliers to near stock speed. That overclock comes later. The memory is at 1:1 or 900Mhz at 1.85 volts.Spread Spectrum is still on and the voltages are stock except the NB.I did bump the Nortth Bridge voltage up 2 notches at 450 fsb. It's 2 hours of Orthos stable.I set up orthos to run on all 4 cores. This thing rocks and the best waste of money so far.Later Dudes.

Re: Asus I'm back.Rampage Formula X48

Well I didn't make 500fsb.But I made 475fsb @ 4Ghz on the CPU.It's not stable yet.I have some tweaking to do.I don't plan on gaming at this level. But I might at 450fsb and 3.6Ghz on the cpu.But it's nice to see it anyway.Even on water it scares the crap out of me.Later all.
