Question

What settings do I need to have in the BIOS before I Flash? Also, are there different file extensions for the BIOS files for Aflash.exe and for the Asus Live Update program for windows? I ask this because the 1003 Final that I downloaded from this site has a .bin extension and the image file that I dowloaded directly from Asus is an .awd file

Set all of your BIOS settings to "Default" before flashing.
If you are currently running 1001a be sure you change to PCI/AGP BEFORE flashing.
The "How to Update BIOS" at ASUS.com has very good instructions. It would not be a mistake to READ them.
