| Has anyone one experienced a bios temperature increase when "upgrading" to a newer bios? My CUSL2 came with Bios 1001.a. When I flashed to 1003 Final I noticed that my temps in bios had increased by 10-15 degrees F. (sorry about the American standard. I guess that I will have to convert to metric after all). Ran into the same thing when I changed to 1006.001 beta. Am now using 1001.a and temps are back down to at or below room temp. Loaded the latest Asus Probe (09), that silly thing was so unstable that I canned it. Am now using the latest revision of MBM 5, which compares fairly closely to bios temps. Knowing my luck this will be a one of a kind anomoly, as I have not noticed any posts regarding such. Thanks to anyone that might be of help. |

| The early versions of this mobo's bios and probe program gave some irratic readings. They seemed to have fixed that from 1003 final and up. Normal idle temps should be in the low 30's C (sorry about the metric standard) and at full load they should be in the low 40's C. Give or take a few degrees depending on your systems' setup. Also make sure you install the latest version of ASUS probe (if that's the program you are using). If your idle temps are below room temperature you either must be living in a very warm place or you have some major cooling installed. MBM5 gave me a difference of around 15C so I had to adjust the settings to give the correct readings. Hope this helps.

| Also when your actually in the BIOS, the CPU is running at an almost full load and when your in BIOS, your temps are going to be 8 to 15 degrees higher than when your loafing on your desktop. It's normal for me, when I'm in BIOS, for my CPU temp to be at 38/40C, but using MEM5, when I finally get to the desktop, the CPU temps drop to around 30C. |
