Re: great, new Bios for P4b266-c release

Well, I check it with ASUSUpdate and it is the correct BIOS for P4B266-C. The only thing though, it sure is an old beta BIOS (12/26/01). Wonder what happen between then and now? I think I will just stick with my 1002 BIOS until something newer comes out. Mobo is doing great now.

I can`t believe ASUS update a old version files after 4 month!!!
It seems there`s no new bios version for P4b266-c in the works.

I have updated 1002ddrc.004, it`s different the original 1002
(1002ddrc.004 is 26-12-2001; 1002 is 13-12-2002)
But the new bios file don`t solve the 40C CPU temp problem

I am looking at that directory right now, and
I don't see it. I see the 1001 version, and
"wrong" 1006 version, the index.txt file, the
english manual, and the chinese manual.

However, no 1002 version file.

Is it a hidden file or something????

I have update the beta bios, no fix for the usb and the temp problem, I can`t find out any new features.

The temperature can be detect with MBM, Why not ASUS fix the problem in "new" Bos?!

Progress maybe?

Now at:
ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/mb/sock478/p4b266-c/

I see a zipfile:
1002ddrc005.zip with a file in it:
1002ddrc.005 dated 4/16/02.

Can anybody check it and see if it is a valid p4b266-c bios? I'm away from home and can't do it myself.

Yes, I think so.
There are only two sensor can be used, one is "ASUS cul2" the other is XXXXX (forgot ^_^, it must be sensor of MB ).
I set sensor 2 to "ASUS cusl2", it keep 45 vidicon in leisure and change to 52 vidicon after playing CS.
