Should be one of the first with this board, just ordered from TigerDirect and it will be here Thursday. Product is not up on TigerDirects website yet, I called the order in ($175 with 2-day shipping.) I have everything waiting for this board, ie. VelociRaptor, Q9650, and all the Vista 64 drivers I need.

Welcome to ABXZone.

I'd like to get some posters with this board so we can all share our experience in getting it running properly. I feel the long delivery time means the chipset might be a new revision and hopefully works well and runs cooler than the X48. Intel wouldn't have made this an Extreme Edition board if it didn't have some guts. Should be interesting.

Thanks ATINUT, been waiting for the board longer than I did the v301 D875PBZ. I waited so I could put together a system with the lowest power requirements I could. I'm also confident this board with Penryn will run very fast and stable.

I'm expecting my system to last me quite awhile. When I came back to Intel quad cores were out at the time, and at that time I didn't see a need for one, and pretty much still don't, but I'm tempted to get the Q6600 for as cheap as I can get it right now.

Everybody with quad cores likes them. They run applications smoother. If you plan on keeping the superb Bad Axe then I would consider getting the cheap Q6600 or Q6700.

I do plan on keeping my D975XBX2, which is why I'm seriously looking at the Q6600. I found out from a local dealer, that the Q6700 is no longer made, and the way it sounded if they ordered one for me, if they could get it, it would be around $100.00 more than the Q6600 which currently sells for $225.00.

Here's the thing Sandog, if I trade in my Core 2 Duo E6600, the local retailer will knock about $100.00 off the $225.00 price, which means I can get the Q6600 for $125.00.

Should be getting the DP45SG board today and I don't know of any websites with pics of this board so I might be the first. I will inspect the socket pins and board components and then check out the BIOS and do memory testing before installing Vista. I should have several pics up later, can't wait to get this board running.

Currently mwave.com has it but no other sites that I know of, Tigerdirect still hasn't added it either. Good luck with your build.

Thanks! Granted the board is undamaged, I believe the only issues that could slow me are compatability/faults with the memory.

There is a black sticker under 'Software Included' on back of the box which hides the text "Intel Desktop Control Center (Internet Download)". This software is not available yet but should be soon for the DP45SG and the X38/48.
