I have nothing to base this on other than what I can see in the pic and the fact that it states in the .pdf it supports DUAL X16 cards. I see no way to Enable/Disable it though. My best guess would be no.

| Re: Intel DX38BT (Bone Trail) This board does not support SLI. The only Intel board to support SLI is going to be the dual socket Skull Trail which has NVidia's own circuitry to enable SLI. I believe I heard a rumor though that the X48 chipset board from Intel might have SLI chips onboard similar to Skull Trail. The X38 does have dual 16X PCI 2.0 slots. FYI, I looked it up and the X38 chipset uses about 24W whereas the X975 chipset uses about 13W TDP. Hi Miles, tkbalt, Keri, long time no see. |

| Re: Intel DX38BT (Bone Trail) The deal breaker for me is it does not support DDR2. If I have to shell out for DDR3 I would wait another month for the 1600MHZ support on the X48..

| Intel DX38BT/DX48BT (Bone Trail) Merged existing Intel DX38BT (Bone Trail) thread to new Intel DX38BT\DX48BT thread. Both boards are coming out soon and are very similar. Sandog |

| Re: Intel DX38BT/DX48BT (Bone Trail) So wait it is offering BOTH Intel RAID and Marvell RAID? I'm sure Marvell is a swell company and all, but I have had a few "less than positive experiences" with their chips. As long as it has the Intel ICH9R active for RAID, I'm impressed! Bad habit, but I like to give any motherboard 4 to 6 months on the market before I buy - let the BIOS fixes mature. But by April I will definitely be taking a look at this fine piece of equipment!

| Re: Intel DX38BT/DX48BT (Bone Trail) Hey Mr Steveo Sounds like a good plan, DDR3 will have better pricing and availability by then. The prices for new Penryns\Wolfdales should transition to current C2D and C4D prices. Intel may adjust clock speeds of Penryn processors higher according to Phenom results. Also the X48 chipset board should be revised based off of the X38 board. Cost should be about the same also. Sandog |
