Here's another case review. This one has lots of pictures. http://www.overclockers.com/articles1358/index.asp

Here's a photo (not my photo) of the case with the Yate Loon fans in it built by another Lian Li 343B owner.

I'm putting in only the two Yate Loon fans at the bottom front at the moment for my build. Maybe two more in the center depending on how the temps go.

The rear fan openings will all have fans, two 80mm fans plus three 120mm fans.

I love my Silverstone Temjin TJ03B case, I've had my last 2 builds in it, if I ever get another case that Lian Li 343B would be it!

finally you have built your new rig!!...very nice...good move not going for DDR3...nice components (I also have the WD5001ABYS WD drive...excellent drive)

I love Lian Li as well and have the A70B case myself...can't go wrong with Lian Li...although personally cube cases are not my cup of tea...too wide and bulky looking...plus I hate wheels on the bottom (I'm paranoid that the whole thing might accidently roll off my desk and die a horrible death)

you havn't played Crysis yet?...better late then never...plus the Crysis: Warhead expansion is not too far off as well

must be something in the air...lots of members upgraded (or are about to) to new rigs recently---Brain, kONGO, zapionics, ATINUT...I upgraded a few months back as well

The wheels lock Bud!!! It doesn't roll at all!!!

At one time I was thinking like you and considering replacing the wheels with available wheel replacement pads from MM. But then I changed my mind due to two reasons: One, there's two and one fourth inches clearance under the case! So, ... Great storage location for my Logitech G15 gaming keyboard and a few other things I might want to put there. Another possibility is .... and I did not expect this .... The external console for the X-Fi Elite soundcard fits like a glove exactly between the front wheels. There's like about 1/100th of an inch clearance on each side as I slide the console in from the front under the case. My original thought was to put the console on top of the case, but now the between the wheels location is like a custom fit.

And reason two: the wheels are riveted to the bottom on the Lian Li case.

It's a great time to build a new rig. The next gen is a long way off, video cards are at a peak, and there's lots of good PC games about.

Re: New Build: Asus X48 Rampage Formula

I have one case with wheels, the Coolermaster Stacker, the original one. I love it. Makes it easy to pull out from under the desk to get to the cables behind it, and it also makes it easy to vacuum around it. I wish more cases had wheels as an option.

Hey Gorgo!!!

A question to anyone with a Lian Li case:

How do you fasten the cages inside the bays? (hd cage, optical drive, floppy, fan cages, ...) I put guide screws all the way round except for the front bottom where I put a thumb screw to secure the cage to the bay? Is there another way?

Lian Li sure is no snap everything together case like my old Antec tower.

I agree...I saw a few of his case reviews a few months back when I was upgrading my system...I just use his reviews to see all the features of the new case and don't quite trust his 'reviews' per say...every review I've seen from him he gives a very positive verdict...have never seen a negative review...leads me to believe he might be paid for it

WoW!!!

Incredible mirror finish on the cpu contact surface on the Zalman CNPS8700NT CPU Cooler!!! The last time I saw such a finish was on space craft at Kennedy Space Center!!! I almost hate to muck it up with the Ceramique.

Back to building.

Damn!!!!!!!

The Zalman CNPS8700NT CPU Cooler won't fit!!! The surrounding MOSFET heat sink fins are too close to the CPU socket!!!

I need a different CPU cooler.

Thats bad luck. I also found the cooler was a very tight fit on the Evo, but I managed to get it on. Its currently "hard up" against the fins of the heat sinks but I dont think it causes any issues.
