| P43 vs P45 chipset I was going to get a ASUS P5Q which has the P45 chipset. ASUS P5Q ATX LGA775 P45 DDR2 PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 3PCI SATA2 Sound GBLAN 1394 Motherboard - DirectCanada I noticed yesterday that the ASUS P5QL-E has become available. ASUS P5QL-E ATX LGA775 P43 DDR2 PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 3PCI SATA2 Sound GBLAN 1394 Motherboard - DirectCanada The main difference seems to be that the P43 only supports one PCIe 16x v2 and the P45 supports one PCIe 16x v2 or two PCIe 8x v2 and the P%QL-E is about 25$ cheaper. However, the P5Q was looking at has one PCIe 16x v2 slot so the second slot is not important to me. The bios seems to support the same overclocking options. Has anyone heard anything ?

| Re: P43 vs P45 chipset My personal preference would be to always choose the higherend board, I had trouble with an ASUS board in particular that was a lowend board, and that board was the piece of junk A8R-MVP board when I tried AMD, and I did have one piece of junk highend board from ASUS, but that board was based on the junk 680i chipset. Rats no review on just the plain P5Q Deluxe.
