Now, my CPU is 1.6@2.13 Hz, but no change in the temperature detect.(Bios and ASUS probe are same)
why?

try motherboard monitor and check your temps with that program.
Asus probe isn't that accurate.

What HS/Fan are you using on your processor?

(sorry for my poor english)

This problem can be occured with Fan ?
I have a cool and big CPU fan, and system can detect its speed, 3800~3900.

I have read ASUS user guide, but not find some useful info.
I have changed three P4b266-c, unfortunately, the same problem appeared.
So, I don`t think that is individual problem.

Just wait ?!
P4b266`s Bios ver has been updated to 1005, but ASUS never updated the Bios Ver for P4B266-c.
I think ASUS have forgotten the "c" version maybe
Good luck for all have this problem.

P4B266-c problem

lookerblue:

I have the bios update 1005 and it did not address the cpu temperture problem.
This is not an after market problem. I'm still waiting for Asus to release a bios that does address this problem for both Mobos.

Well, they have updated the BIOS for the -C.
My board came with version 1002. However,
the ASUS website do give the impression that
the -C BIOS has never been updated since they
all offer only the original 1001 version with
not a hint that version 1002 has been out
since 12/2001.

Download and install MBM version 5.1.0.7 or
newer. The P4B266 series of boards apparently
use a new version of the monitor chip. MBM
has been updated to work with this new version,
but apparently, BIOS and Probe from ASUS
have not.

I guess the hardware designers don't talk with
the software people at ASUS any better than
at any other company.
