Even with 2.85, I'd prefer smaller increments than .1v.

hi guys, any thoughts on running my 2.4C at 285FSB 1:1 with 2 x 512MB Samsung TCCD sticks?

Previously, I had been running 2 x 512MB Hynix sticks at 5:4 ie CPU:RAM at 285:228FSB, I had been hoping to run the TCCDs at 1:1 but I am experiencing stability issues presently (DOS memtest freezes). Saw a few posts that later BIOS versions may help, any truth there? Still using version 1016 cos I like the fast POST times.

Vista Drivers

Anyone found Vista drivers for this mobo?

I guess we need sound drivers, and Promise ATA drivers.

The sound drivers for XP work... as for the Promise drivers, that I don't know. I don't use raid so I just have it disabled in the bios.

How many of you are still running these systems. I have a 3.2 with this board and I'm thinking about overclocking it. Trying to keep from upgrading for a couple of years. I'm just a little leary of oc. Really need it to last. Any input would be appreciated.

I'm still running mine (see sig for OC spex). IMO this is the best board I've had in the last 5 years. I'll run mine as long as I can, but will prolly build a new rig for Vista next winter.

Im still running mine as well. Check sig for specs. It is stable and performs great. I will keep it going as long as it plays the games I want. So far nothing has slowed it down.

Hi

Mine is still running after 6 months of continous use. Removed motherboard USB headers last Summer to prevent the dreaded southbridge burning. No plans to O/C.

Ditto. Still running fine but is now my backup and server running the 3 gig as stock. It ran for almost 2 years at 3.4 stable with an ALCU7000 heatsink and an ATIX800XL vid card. The only thing I really don't need now is the 2 gigs of OCZ performance ram I could not move to the new Core Duo rig. I have a pair of dual channel OCZ Gold 4000 for that.

Just keep an eye on your temps and don't go too high on the voltage.
You'll soon find out the limits 'cause she'll start heating up.

I plan on staying under 1.6 also does anyone know if turbo mode only is recomended for a stock front side bus?? If you are going to OC you should set it to auto or standard.

P4C800E Deluxe F/W???

Hello all:

I have the P4C800E-D MoBo and still use 1019 beta 4 firmware. Can anyone tell me what f/w to use now? I want to be sure I have the latest that will work and be stable. Is 1023 the latest?

TIA
