P4P800 Delux Rev 2

I have just picked up the P4P800 D/Lux and before I installed it, I wondered how many independant hard drives it can take. I am crrently running an Abit BRD17 - Raid and I can run h/d'd on IDE Channel 1 CD and DVD burner on Channel 2, 2 different h/d's on Channel 3 and 2 more on Channel 4.

There is no RAID Array, just 4 extra drives.

Anyone know if this can be done on the P4P800 ?

Many thank

Yes, that should be possible, if you run the VIA/Promise controller in IDE mode.

4xIDE Ports = 8 Devices
+
2xSATA = 2 Devices(For future refference)
