P965 and ATX???

Hi

Is true that ASUS' P965 motherboards are not compatible with ATX cases, such as Lian-PC 6x series?

THanks

. . . I don't think so. I guess I'll find out come Monday, since I ordered a P5B and a ATX case. I don't think they are some weird measurement (like long or wide).

Where did you hear this?

Edit: Are some Lian Li cases a little funny when it comes to mounting motherboards? (too thin, wide, shallow, etc)

Hi

I heard about p965 boards here: Opinions on P5B-E? - alt.comp.periphs.mainboard.asus | Google Groups

I have an ASUS P4C800-E, ASUS P4P800 Deluxe and ASUS P4B533-E in Lian-Li PC6x Cases w/o issue. I just love them!

Boards that are for any other form factor would probably be identifiable by name or very quickly looking at the product specs.

ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

Click "Specifications" for **ANY** of the boards there.

PS- if ASUS made a board that didn't properly fit an ATX case, every single review site that has touched it would report it and they would absolutely blast ASUS for it. None have.

You get problems when you mount the motherboards with heat pipes upside down. E.g. in my Silverstone Temjin 06 the heat pipes simply won't work.
