| Question on temp and voltage! Hi! I need your opinion. I have a p4c800 dlx mb, a pentium 4 3.0C overclocked to 3.66 (244 fsb), ati 9800 pro overclocked lightly, Corsair 3700 (1024 mg). I have retail fan for cpu and the voltage is set to 1.65 volt. My temp is 52 C when playing UT 2004 demo. Is the voltage too high for a retail fan? Will it impact in the lifetime of my cpu? Is my temp too high? Also, while playing at UT2004 demo I was kicked out a few times with fatal error (blue screen) under Win XP! It said that if it was the first time, to reboot and if not, to contact administrator... but I am the administrator! At the time, my voltage was at 1.625 and I increased it to 1.65. Now, it looks ok. Many thanks to all of you! Daniel ![]() |

| Your cpu in rated an 1.525 vcore. I think as long as you don't push beyond where you are you will be OK. As long as shortening the life of the cpu, common concensus among members is that you will get another one before it has problems. But with ocing there is always a risk. |

| 3.0C is rated 1.55V, and 1.65V set in your BIOS does NOT give you 1.65, more like 1.58 :o You will get a more stable voltage regulation by setting your vcore to 1.60 MAX (leave it to ASUS) or even 1.575v (depending on the actual board, as I have 2 here right now which behave TOTALLY different with the SAME CPU.) From my findings regarding 1.65V, it is junk. For more insight have a look here: Vcore setting on P4C800E is a joke
