| Have you heard anything from MAD about this? I tried email about a week ago. Is there no more chance for this tweak to happen? Have they given up? |

| ? I'm just about to order my prosessor. I see the great results for the 1.2Gig. Is there any problem with the 1.26 512MB cacsh? I'm not really sure which one to get. |

I know a lot of people with the 1.26 512 cache have problems with the cpu voltage adjustments. I do not believe it's a big problem though. Outside of that it runs fine and overclocks well. Z

| Re: ? Does that mean that you can adjust your voltages with your 1.2. I'm also running the TUSL2-C with the 1010 BIOS. What is the 1010tc, and where do you get it? I just switched from the BIOS mod for the CUSL2-C, that works fine on the TUSL2-C, in anticipation of the new processor, and am now using the Dos BIOS tweak by the Mad. It's slower in loading, and I don't like that it won't allow for the 5,7 memory setting, but so far those are just minor complaints. I don't usually use the voltage adjustments to overclock. My 700E runs at 1000MHz just fine without tweaking the voltage, and I don't plan to go much over 150MHz FSB with the new prosessor. I ordered the Alpha cooler that you are using about a week ago with the noisy high RPM fan, but I also got the 60MM to 80MM fan reducer, and a higher output 80MM fan than the 60MM that comes with the Alpha, in case I couldn't stand the noise. I think it will work in my case, but I got it both ways just in case ( no pun intended). I have the Arctic silver, for small surface areas, but that should be ok, for the heat spreader, I would think. I swear the stuff is just antiseaze compound for automotive high heat applications, but I haven't run any conduction tests on it yet to see. I've got the Gainward GeForce3 on my Christmas list. Any opinions on which way to go would be nice. The 512MB cache is tempting, but if it is a problem on my motherboard, I could always buy another computer toy with the $50-60 I would save getting the 1.2Gig. This is the last computer I intend to build until the P4's really take off, or until the P5's are out with the 64 bit OS's, so I want to get as much out of it as I can. I'm a spoiled oldtimer from the 440BX days. I still don't think they have built a comparable performance board since then. Todays boards don't outperform it by a whole lot. I'm waiting for the next generation board that makes the leap that that the 440BX did. I might be waiting a while. |

| I'm using the 1010tc bios and it does allow voltage adjustments. I'm also using Stuffpcr and the dos fix to get my AGP at 4x above 140 fsb. If I had a choice I'd go with the 1.26 w/ 512 cache. It is the fastest PIII to date. This month the P4 DDR motherboards come out. Why not build a P4 system around PC2100 DDR ram? Your performance will double and you can get a much faster P4 for the same price as the 1.26 PIII.

| Catch22! Is the 1.2 GHz Celeron your rig? If it is, how did you cool the CPU to -54C? -.-

| haha you think i'll give away all my secrets? Dude check this out. I got my 1.2G Tualain running on my ABIT BX-133 RAID mobo now. Hell it only took 8 pins to do it. SO what does this mean? Well any Tualatin will run on damn near any socket 370 mobo made in the last couple years. Also with a 9th pin the 1.4 server PIII Tualatin should work too. I'll have to test that one to make sure though. I screwed up one of my 1.2G Celerons trying to make this work. But it was a POS and didn't O/C too good. Gotta break an egg every now and then. Stay tuned for article at a website near you. here's a compare but just remember this is a trial run at 133FSB Tualatin on a BX mobo http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?2851966
